1. SERVICES

All styling services, including Wardrobe Edit, Personal Shopping, After Shop Styling, Brand Styling and Virtual Styling, are conducted as a private, one-on-one experience.

No additional person or persons may attend a session unless prior written approval has been provided. Additional attendees may incur an additional fee.

The scope of each service is based on the service booked and the time allocated to that service.

2. BOOKINGS & PAYMENT

Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm and secure your session.

Bookings are not considered confirmed until payment has been received in full.

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.

Prices are subject to change without notice. Confirmed bookings will not be affected by subsequent price changes.

3. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

More than 5 working days' notice:
You may reschedule your session or receive a Credit for the full amount paid.

Within 72 hours:
A 50% service fee applies. A Credit will be issued for the remaining balance.

Within 24 hours:
100% of the service fee will be forfeited and no Credit will be issued.

No-show:
Failure to attend your session without notice will be treated as a cancellation within 24 hours.

Credits are valid for 6 months from the date of issue and are non-refundable.

4. ILLNESS & HEALTH POLICY

If you are feeling unwell, including experiencing symptoms of cold, flu, COVID-19 or another contagious illness, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling.

If I am unwell, your session will be rescheduled at the earliest available opportunity.

Cancellations due to illness, with reasonable notice, will not incur a cancellation fee. Your payment will instead be held as a Credit for up to 6 months.

For in-home services, including Wardrobe Edits, I reserve the right to refuse entry or end a session if significant illness symptoms are present or unsuitable behaviour. In this circumstance, the session will be rescheduled where possible.

5. GIFT VOUCHERS & DISCOUNTS

Gift Vouchers and Discounts are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase or issue.

Vouchers and Discounts are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Vouchers are only redeemable for services within Perth, WA.

Bookings using a Gift Voucher or Discount must be made directly via stylebyrachelmetropolis@outlook.com.

If service prices have increased since a voucher was purchased, the difference in price will be payable at the time of booking.

Gift Vouchers will be emailed or mailed within 5 business days of purchase.

6. YOUR SESSION

Please arrive on time to ensure you receive the full benefit of your booked session.

Time lost due to late arrival cannot be added to your session or extended beyond the original booking time unless additional time is available and agreed upon.

For Personal Shopping sessions, the time allocated includes all shopping, changing, styling, decision-making and movement between stores.

7. PERSONAL SHOPPING – PREPARATION

Clients are required to complete any requested questionnaires, Pinterest mood boards and preparation information by the stated deadline.

This information allows Style by Rachel Metropolis to research and prepare specifically for the client's needs prior to the appointment.

If required preparation is not completed by the requested deadline, the level of personalised preparation that can be provided may be limited.

8. PERSONAL SHOPPING – STOCK & AVAILABILITY

Every effort will be made to source items from the client's wishlist and agreed shopping priorities. However, specific items, brands, colours, sizes, styles, pricing and stock availability cannot be guaranteed.

Retail inventory can change without notice, including between the time of pre-shopping research and the client's appointment.

Where a requested item is unavailable, Style by Rachel Metropolis will make reasonable efforts to source suitable alternatives, check other retailers or, where appropriate, identify online options.

The inability to locate a particular item due to retailer stock, sizing or availability does not constitute a failure to provide the styling service.

9. BUDGET & PURCHASING

Style by Rachel Metropolis will make every reasonable effort to work within the client's agreed shopping budget and provide recommendations based on quality, suitability, versatility and value.

All final purchasing decisions remain with the client.

Style recommendations are provided based on professional styling expertise and the information supplied by the client. The stylist does not require or guarantee that a client will purchase any particular item.

Retail prices, promotions, discounts and product availability are determined by individual retailers and are outside the control of Style by Rachel Metropolis.

10. RETAILER PURCHASES, RETURNS & FAULTS

Style by Rachel Metropolis acts as a styling service provider and does not manufacture, sell or warrant the clothing, footwear, accessories or other products recommended or purchased by the client.

Clients are responsible for completing their own purchases and retaining receipts and relevant proof of purchase.

Any returns, exchanges, refunds, manufacturing faults, defects or product concerns must be addressed directly with the relevant retailer in accordance with the retailer's policies and applicable Australian Consumer Law.

While reasonable care may be taken to inspect garments during a styling session, Style by Rachel Metropolis cannot guarantee the condition or performance of a product after purchase.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

11. ADDITIONAL TIME

If a client wishes to extend a session beyond the booked service time, additional time may be available subject to Rachel's availability.

Additional styling time is charged at the current hourly rate of $130 per hour, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Additional time must be agreed upon before the session is extended wherever reasonably possible.

12. PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY

Your privacy is important to me. Personal information provided as part of your styling service will be treated confidentially and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

Photos taken during styling sessions will only be used for marketing, social media, website or promotional purposes with the client's permission.

13. STYLE RECOMMENDATIONS

Styling recommendations are based on the information provided by the client, including lifestyle, preferences, body proportions, colouring, wardrobe requirements and personal goals.

While every effort is made to provide thoughtful and personalised recommendations, individual preferences and outcomes may vary.

The client is always encouraged to make their own informed decisions about what they purchase and wear.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by law, Style by Rachel Metropolis is not responsible for:

• Changes in retailer stock, pricing, promotions or availability.

• The inability to source a specific requested item, brand, size or colour.

• Product faults, defects or manufacturing issues arising after purchase, which should be directed to the relevant retailer.

• Allergic reactions or sensitivities to fabrics, accessories or products, where these could not reasonably have been identified or anticipated.

• The client's personal purchasing decisions or the way recommendations are subsequently used outside the styling session.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes any liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under Australian law.

15. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By booking a service with Style by Rachel Metropolis, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
